Lois Emig
Lois J. Emig, 81, of Baltic, died Feb. 19, 2011, at Oak Pointe Nursing Home, following an extended illness.
Born August 7, 1929, in Huntington, Ind., Lois was a daughter of the late Elmer and Hazel Chesterland. She was employed as a bookkeeper at the former McQueen, Inc., Baltic, and was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dover, and the Baltic American Legion Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Emig, whom she married Sept. 3, 1945; and two brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Feb. 23, at 1 p.m., at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dover. Burial will follow in Fiat Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Smith-Varns Funeral Home, 1018 W. Main St., Sugarcreek.
