Leone Andrews

Leone C. Andrews, 93, of Baltic, died Feb. 22, 2011, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home, Walnut Creek, following an extended illness.

Born June 20, 1917, in East Sparta, Leone was a daughter of the late Richard and Chloe Clutter. She was a homemaker and a school teacher at Baltic for 17 years. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Baltic, the women’s guild at the church, and the Walnut Creek Fine Arts Club.

Surviving are her husband, Robert W. Andrews, whom she married July 25, 1943; children, Carol (Jay) Breeding of Strasburg, Steve (Peggy) Andrews of Wooster, Mary Jane (John) Ekers of Clearwater, Fla., and Scott (Muff) Andrews of Tipp City; eight grandchildren, Trish (Bob) Scheren, Tiffany (Ralph) Miller, Jason Andrews, Seth (Kate) Andrews, Ashley and Andy Ekers, and Hilary and Abby Andrews; and a great-grandson, Ethan Miller.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John Clutter; and half-brother, Joseph Clutter.

Private family services were held Feb. 26, at Zion United Church of Christ, Baltic, with Revs. Sharon Jacobsen and John Ekers officiating. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery, Baltic.
