Marie Brenly
Marie “Betz” Brenly, 90, of Baltic, died peacefully March 3, 2011, at her home.
Born Feb. 25, 1921, Betz was the daughter of the late Harvey and Gertrude Brenly. As a young woman, she worked with her father on his custom grain thrashing business. She was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed raising sheep and cattle. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing and will be remembered for her beautiful crocheted doilies.
Surviving are a brother, Ronald (Edna), whose care and devotion allowed Betz to spend her entire life on the family farm she loved; and seven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Otto and Robert.
Services will be held March 8, at 11 a.m., at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Pastor Robert Groenke officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, New Bedford. Friends may call March 7, from 6-8 p.m.
