Birdena was born July 13, 1950, in Dover, to the late David and Ruth Hershberger. She was a member of Sugarcreek Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are children, Ty Cobb (fiancee, Maggie Richards) of Sugarcreek and Tammy Cobb (fiance, Scott Albertson) of Stow; three grandchildren, Jazz, Jorden, and Paige; siblings, Kolan (Betty) Hershberger of Delaware, D. Wade (Tootie) Hershberger, Ken (Cherie) Hershberger, and Marlene (Bob) Schlabach, all of Sugarcreek, Nancy (Fred) Zimmerman of Newcomerstown, and Bill (Cindy) Hershberger, Stewart (Mona) Hershberger, and Debbie (Brian) Gerber, all of Sugarcreek; and 22 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Cobb, whom she married Feb. 14, 1976.
Services will be held March 22, at 11 a.m., at Sugarcreek Church of the Brethren, with Rev. Dick Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery. Friends may call March 21, from 5-8 p.m., at Smith-Varns Funeral Home, Sugarcreek, and one hour prior to services at the church.
