This free seminar will feature guest speaker, Beth Dziengelewski, MS, RD, a certified diabetic educator with the Ohio State University Medical Center. Jennifer Thomas, a certified nurse practitioner with the Twin City Medical Group, will also be present to help answer questions. Topics covered at the seminar will include the latest in diabetes research information, descriptions of the different types of diabetes, and the typical course of the disease, diabetes treatment and test methods, how to gain control of blood sugar levels, meal planning, and more.
“This seminar will include everything a diabetic person needs to know to properly manage the disease,” explained Thomas. “It will demonstrate how diabetics can avoid some of the more serious health complications. We are fortunate to have a speaker of this caliber come to Dennison to share this valuable information.”
