“I am very excited to be in this new role at the clinic. This clinic is an amazing community resource and it’s well supported by our community partners and volunteers. The future looks very bright for this organization and I’m honored to be a part of it,” shared Orr.
Former director, Shelley Broadbent, has taken the role of clinic coordinator. She will be responsible for the clinic operations including programming, medical referrals, and volunteer recruitment. Broadbent has been with the organization since 2008 and has served in various capacities.
“Shelley is a wealth of information from the beginning stages to present day. I am excited to work with Shelley in our new roles and to continue moving this organization forward to serve more patients,” stated Orr.
As of March 28, the clinic is now located at 420 Reeves Ave., Suite D, Dover. “The move was necessary due to our need to expand our clinic hours of operation to serve more patients. We were simply outgrowing our previous location at the St. Joe’s Family Life Center, but we appreciate their hospitality while we built our clinic to what it has become today,” shared Orr.
With the new leadership team and location, the Tuscarawas Clinic for the Working Uninsured has planned a ribbon cutting and open house on Thursday, April 28, from 1-5 p.m. The Tuscarawas Chamber of Commerce will be present to officially welcome the clinic to their new location with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1:30 p.m. There will be refreshments offered, tours given, and an opportunity for the community to learn more about the clinic operations.
