LeeAnn Jackson received a $2,000 Scott and Jenifer Luikart Scholarship. She will attend Cleveland State University to pursue a medical degree. She is the daughter of Terry and Jenny Jackson.
Keelie Bente received a $1,500 Robert McCullough Memorial Scholarship. She will attend The Ohio State University, pursuing a degree in optometry. She is the daughter of Kelly and Melissa Bente.
Chase Swaney received the $1,000 Marie Hillyer Memorial Scholarship and a $500 Uhrichsville Alumni-Stilgenbaurer Memorial Scholarship. He will attend The Ohio State University and pursue a degree in political science and theater. He is the son of Rob Swaney and Lisa Leggett Swaney.
Seth Kimble received a $1,000 Scott and Jenifer Luikart Scholarship and the $500 Truck Sales & Service, Inc. Scholarship. He will attend Case Western Reserve University or Stony Brook University, where he will study physics. He is the son of Gary Kimble.
Chad Walker received the $1,000 Brainerd Memorial Scholarship, given in memory of Anna Russell Smith and Russell Brainerd Durmann and the $500 Truck Sales Leasing Ltd. Scholarship. Chad will attend the U.S. Air Force or Naval Academy and study meteorology. He is the son of Michael and Lisa Walker.
Aleigh Bollon received the $500 First National Bank Scholarship and the $500 Don and Helen Wright Scholarship. She is the daughter of Barb and Joe Bollon and will attend DePaul University, where she will study business finance.
Jason Hemperly received the $1,000 Viktorya Willett Foundation Scholarship. He will attend Tennessee Tech to study chemical engineering. He is the son of Walter Hemperly and Shelby Toland.
Lyndsey McMath received the $1,000 Ted and Carol Gram Memorial Scholarship. She will attend The Ohio State University to study medical science. She is the daughter of Darrell and the late Lee Ann McMath.
Aubriann Roush received the $1,000 Cliff Pocock Memorial Scholarship. She is the daughter of Marc and Jewelann Roush and will study nursing at The University of Akron.
Kolby Bloom received the $1,000 Macel Maxwell Memorial Scholarship. He will attend Miami University to pursue studies in veterinarian science. He is the son of Wendy Bloom.
Kelsey Golec received a $1,000 Scott and Jenifer Luikart Scholarship. She will attend Ashland University to study political science. She is the daughter of Brian and Donna Golec.
Cory Weber is the recipient of a $1,000 Uhrichsville Alumni-Stilgenbaurer Memorial Scholarship. He will attend The University of Akron to pursue a degree in marketing management. He is the son of Matt and Michelle Weber.
Hannah Smith received the $500 Sam Shimp Memorial Scholarship and the $500 Uhrichsville Class of 1956 Scholarship. She plans to attend Kent State University Tuscarawas and study fashion merchandising. She is the daughter of Mike and Rhonda Smith.
Joshua Cox received the $1,000 Eclipz Garabrandt Foundation Scholarship. He will study nursing at The University of Akron. He is the son of Roger and Melissa Cox.
Alyssia Roberts received the $750 Robert 'Bucky' Lint Memorial Scholarship. She will attend Muskingum University and pursue studies in psychology and child studies. She is the daughter of Christie Jones.
Michael Grim received the $500 Sam and Jean Romig Memorial Scholarship. He will attend Kent State University Tuscarawas and pursue studies in business broadcasting. He is the son of Veronica Taylor.
Seka Cogar received a $500 Uhrichsville Alumni Scholarship. She will attend The University of Akron and study biology and medicine. She is the daughter of Kevin and Josephine Cogar.
Jenna Powell received a $500 Uhrichsville Alumni Scholarship. She will attend West Liberty University and pursue studies in nursing. She is the daughter of Tom and Kelly Powell.
Erin Norman is the recipient of the $500 Mary Lou Rice Memorial Scholarship. She will study nursing at Kent State University Tuscarawas. She is the daughter of Lisa Orr.
Macy Kopp received the $500 Quest Club Scholarship. She will study nursing at Kent State University Tuscarawas. She is the daughter of Michael and Beth Kopp.
Mackenzi Martin received the $250 Make the Impossible Possible and $250 John Harstine scholarships. She will attend Kent State University Tuscarawas and pursue studies in nursing. She is the daughter of Joe and Betty Martin.
Scholarships awarded to college students totaled $11,000.
Dave Adams collegiate scholarships in the amount of $1,000 were awarded to Nathan Barker (Kentucky Christian University), Sam Vanfossen (Belmont University) and Jimmy Schreck (University of Akron).
Scott and Jenifer Luikart $1,000 collegiate scholarships were awarded to Caitlyn Miskimen (Ashland University) and Jordan Smith (Kent State University).
Molly Houston memorial scholarships in the amount of $1,000 were awarded to Audrey Metzger (West Virginia University), Olivia Lint (University of Cincinnati), Jessica Carter (University of Findley) and Kayleigh Larson (University of Akron).
Molly Houston memorial scholarships in the amount of $500 were awarded to Ayrika Whitney (Ohio University), Tiffany Kneuss (Ohio Northern University), Chris Bullock (The Ohio State University) and Nicholas Neininger (Kent State University).
"We are thrilled to be able to offer scholarships to so many deserving Claymont students and graduates," stated Claymont Foundation president Dee Metzger. "We are honored that so many Claymont, Uhrichsville and Dennison graduates and their families, as well as local businesses and organizations, have donated these funds to be used for scholarships."
The Claymont Foundation is a not-for-profit organization established to encourage and enhance educational excellence for students of the Claymont City Schools, through scholarship and classroom grant opportunities.
