The Ohio Holstein Association has scheduled numerous shows and events for the upcoming months. Each year the various districts within the Ohio Holstein Association host Holstein shows that are open to both adult and junior Holstein breeders. Participating in these shows garners points toward the All-Ohio and Junior All-Ohio awards given each year at the annual meeting. The following shows and events have been scheduled:

June 11: Districts 11 and 13 Holstein show at Urbana

June 18: District 3 Holstein show at the Tuscarawas County Fairgrounds, Dover

June 20: District 5 Holstein show at Circleville

July 9: District 7 Holstein show at Wooster

July 9: Northeast Ohio Districts 1 and 2 Holstein show at Canfield

July 17-23: District 9 Holstein show during the Crawford County Fair, Bucyrus

July 24: District 14 Holstein show at Sidney

July 25: District 15 Holstein show

August 1: District 12 Holstein show at Wapakoneta

August 16: District 10 Holstein show at Napoleon

August 23: District 8 Holstein show at Wellington

The show schedule for the Ohio State Fair is:

July 26: Holsteins must be in place by 6 p.m.

July 29: Red and Whites must be in place by noon

July 29: Regional National Holstein Junior Show at 10 a.m. Judge Chip Savage, Maryland

July 30: Summer National Holstein Open Show at 10 a.m. Heifers, Judge Lynn Harbaugh, Wisconsin

July 30: National Holstein Futurity, 7 p.m.

July 31: Summer National Open Holstein Show Cow Classes at 10 a.m. Judge Lynn Harbaugh, Wisconsin

July 31: Red and White Show at 9 a.m. Judge Bill Langel

Plans are under way for upcoming sales, which include the Ohio Summertime Sale July 21, and the Ohio Fall Quality Sale Nov. 19, both to be held at the Wayne County Fairgrounds, Wooster.

The Ohio Junior Holstein Association is planning the Ohio Junior Holstein Family Fun Day, scheduled for Sunday, July 17, at Magic Mountain Polaris, Columbus. The Junior Association is also selling T-shirts for $10 each to help raise money for their trip to the National Holstein Convention in Richmond, Va., as well as other activities. Contact the Ohio Holstein office or Ohio Junior members to purchase T-shirts. There are a lot of things happening at the Ohio Holstein Association and everyone is invited to attend and get involved.
