Weldon was born Dec. 23, 1920, in Holmes County, to the late William and Florence Gerber. He was a retired farmer and a member of Walnut Creek Mennonite Church.
Surviving are his wife, Esther Gerber, whom he married March 16, 1946; children, Verdella Sue Gerber of Berlin, Richard Loyal (Elizabeth) Gerber of Millersburg, Carolyn (Robert) Bard of Mantua, Cheryl (Jay) Johnson of Beach City, and John David (Marjie) Gerber and Connie (Robert) Miller, both of Millersburg; six grandchildren, Terry Bard, James (Leslie) Bard, Tammy Sabatino, Robert (Laurel) Miller Jr., Kenny Miller, and Veronica Gerber; three stepgranddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Celebration of life services will be held June 6, at 11 a.m., at Walnut Creek Mennonite Church, with Pastor Don Hamsher officiating. Burial will take place at 10 a.m., in Walnut Creek Mennonite Church Cemetery.
