David Hershberger
David Lee Hershberger, 17, of Dundee, died July 23, 2011, at Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, following a drowning accident near Sugarcreek.
Born July 21, 1994, in Mt. Eaton, David was a son of Roy Alan and Laura Hershberger. He was employed at the Walnut Creek Lumber Company and attended the Old Order Amish Church, where his parents are members.
Surviving are sisters, Mari Jo, Diana, Rosalyn, and Lisa, all of the home; brothers, Brian and Lukas, both of the home; grandparents, Sam and Mary Hershberger of Mt. Eaton and Abe and Mary Schlabach of Sugarcreek; great-grandmother, Ada Hershberger of Holten, Mich.; and nine uncles and three aunts.
He was preceded in death by an aunt, Freda Schlabach.
Services will be held July 26, at 9 a.m., at the Hershberger residence, with Bishop David Fry officiating. Burial will follow in Yoder Cemetery, Wayne Township, Tuscarawas County. Friends may call anytime at the residence.
Smith-Varns Funeral Home, Sugarcreek, is handling arrangements.
