First Federal Community Bank recently introduced Kasasa Tunes, a new, innovative banking account that rewards consumers with digital music downloads instead of an interest rate.
Kasasa Tunes is a free checking account that rewards consumers with digital downloads from iTunes or Amazon.com every monthly qualification cycle. It is designed for those with a passion for music and media, who want to be rewarded with digital downloads, including music, books, movies and iPhone or iPod applications.
“For those that want something different from their banking relationship, we wanted to offer our customers a fresh, hip account that puts the fun in banking,” said Trent Troyer, president and CEO at First Federal Community Bank. “Now Kasasa account holders can use their monthly downloads to check out a new band or the latest remix, or enjoy television shows, movies, iPhone and iPod applications.”
Like all Kasasa accounts, Kasasa Tunes offers free checking, nationwide ATM fee refunds, no minimum balance to earn the rewards, no monthly service fees and online banking, in addition to the digital downloads.
To get the rewards, each monthly qualification cycle account holders are asked to do a few simple things, like receive a monthly eStatement and use a debit card a minimum number of times. If an account holder does not meet the qualifications in a given month, the account is still free and they will be eligible the following month for the benefits.
Kasasa was introduced to the Northeast Ohio area in May of this year through an aggressive, highly engaging marketing campaign.
