Mitchell R. Hidey, 25, of Dover, died unexpectedly August 6, 2011, at Union Hospital.

Born August 13, 1985, in Dennison, Mitch was the son of Lou Ann Hidey of New Philadelphia and the late Frederick J. Hidey. He was self-employed and worked as a plumber’s assistant for Lawver Plumbing, Dover.

Mitch loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking and fishing. He also liked woodworking. He enjoyed playing his guitar and spending time with his loved canine companion, Rambo. He and his fiancee, Sarah, loved hiking and spending time together at Dundee Falls. He will be remembered for his generosity and was always there to help others in their time of need.

In addition to his mother, Mitch is survived by his fiancee, Sarah Watkins; son, Cameron Hidey of Newcomerstown; brothers, Trevor and Kris Hidey, both of Dover; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret and Luther Hidey and Pauline Homan.

Friends may call August 11, from 4-7 p.m., at Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. Cremation will follow the visitation. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Jerusalem Cemetery, New Philadelphia.
