Community Hospice of Stark, Tuscarawas, and Carroll counties is hosting a Dine and Dance event at the Atwood Yacht Club, August 24, from 6-10 p.m. The program, named Bridge to Healing, provides a wide assortment of services to assist and provide support to everyone in our local community, whether or not their loved one was served as a hospice patient.

Counseling, social activities, support groups, mailings, educational workshops, and services for children and teens are among the wide variety of programs you can count on in your time of need.

This new fundraiser will feature:

- Full buffet.

- Dancing; fast, slow, and in between.

- Special song requests.

- Cash bar with very reasonable prices.

- A 50/50 raffle.

- Informational slide show and talk by Robert Phipps, the director of development for the area.

Jacqueline Miller, of the Atwood Lake area, chairwoman for this event, stated that ticket sales have been very brisk so far, and is enthusiastically predicting that this will be a sell-out event, very similar to previous events held at the club. The goal is to have at least 150 people attend, with all proceeds benefiting the Bridge to Healing program. It will be held in the beautiful dining and ballroom overlooking Atwood Lake.

Entertainment and master of ceremonies, and back at Atwood Yacht Club by popular demand is Blake Miller, the number one San Diego DJ, four years in a row.

This event is open to the public, and tickets are sold in advance only. Members, guests and non-members are all welcome. Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling Jackie at 330-735-2585, Kim Clark or the receptionist at the Hospice office at 330-343-7605 in Dover. Cash or checks only. Dress is business casual.
