Hog roast tickets are on sale at the YMCA or at the door, and include pulled pork and sausage sandwiches, salad, beverage and homemade desert. All the food is provided by Knisely Inc. and Berner Trucking.
There will also be a bounce house, face painting, balloon animals and games for kids, plus a corn hole tournament, silent auction, and raffle prizes; four of $1,000 in cash, two $500 gas cards, a 42-inch flat screen TV and a YMCA family membership.
This year’s event will also feature the popular local band The Moonlighters from 4-6 p.m.
The Knisely family generously donates all the proceeds from this event to the Tuscarawas County YMCA Strong Kids Campaign. The Strong Kids Campaign provides memberships and programs to any youth who cannot afford to pay. Annually, the Tuscarawas County YMCA provides more than 400 eligible youth $100,000 in program and membership fees.
This year, 21 million people – nearly half of them kids – will come to YMCAs across the country, to learn, grow and thrive. Engaging 10,000 communities across the U.S., more than 2,600 YMCAs promote youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
At the Y, kids have the opportunity to make friends, have fun, get active and discover who they are and what they can achieve. The YMCA is a diverse organization of men, women and children joined together by a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, promoting healthy living and fostering a sense of social responsibility.
The YMCA’s membership is 21 million strong, and spread across more than 2,600 YMCA associations nationwide.
Since no two communities are exactly alike and no two YMCAs are exactly alike, they bring together a shared commitment to ensure everyone in our community has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
Without support from community groups like the Knisely Inc. charity, the local YMCA would not be able to strengthen support and nurture the shared commitment to the community.
