A son of Murdock Richard L. Breehl and Barbara Limbacher, Josh was born Feb. 7, 1986, in Dover. He was a veteran of the United States, having been stationed at Hawaii, and was a crew chief for Blackhawk helicopters. He was also a student at Kent State University, where he was studying aeronautics. He was passionate about a variety of activities which included cars, skiing, and playing his guitar.
Surviving are his wife, Effie Breehl, whom he married Oct. 16, 2010; his father and stepmother, Murdock and Gaylene Breehl of New Philadelphia; his mother, Barbara Limbacher of New Philadelphia and her friend, Rick Keffer; siblings, Christopher (Renee) Miller of New Philadelphia, Laura (David) Appleton of Brussels, Belgium, Sarah (David) Watson of New Philadelphia, Matthew Breehl of Atwood, and James Hizer of New Philadelphia; his grandparents, Betty and Bailey Brown of New Philadelphia, Arthur and Yong Limbacher of Stone Creek, Barbara and Bill Ellwood of New Philadelphia, and Don and Mariam Miller of Walnut Creek; nieces and nephews, Dominic, Meah, Emma, and Charlie Watson, Christian, Alyssa, Mitchell, and Ethan Miller, Haley Breehl, and Daemyn, Isabella, and Serefina Hizer; many aunts and uncles; and his father- and mother-in-law, Tom and Betty Andreas of New Philadelphia.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Angel Ann Limbacher; and grandfather, James J. Breehl.
Services will be held Sept. 25, at 4 p.m., at Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory, New Philadelphia, with Rev. Hugh Berry officiating. The New Philadelphia VFW Post 1445 will render military honors at the conclusion of the service. A meal will take place in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, New Philadelphia. In keeping with Josh’s wishes, cremation will take place through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. The family will receive friends from 1-4 p.m.
