“We had a terrific response from the community last year for our inaugural Paint Tusc Pink campaign with over 40 organizations participating,” said Union Hospital Community Health and Wellness Coordinator, Pamela Dummermuth, who serves on the Paint Tusc Pink committee. “We saw everything from giant-sized window paintings and sports team T-shirts to quite a few very creative and very pink storefront displays. This year, we’re hoping for an even bigger response as the word continues to spread.”
This year’s Paint Tusc Pink events include a Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event at Adventure Harley-Davidson in Dover, Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 5 p.m.
The Paint Tusc Pink Luncheon at Union Country Club will be on Thursday, Oct. 13 at noon. Tickets to the luncheon are available for a fee and all proceeds benefit women’s health services at the Tuscarawas Clinic for the Working Uninsured. Tickets are available in the Union Hospital gift shop or by calling the Union Hospital community relations office at 330-602-0778.
The Twin City area will observe Paint Tusc Pink the week of Oct. 17. On Oct. 19, the Times-Reporter will feature a special pink edition of the newspaper.
