The New Philadelphia Business and Community Association, along with the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce, will host a 2011 New Philadelphia Candidate’s Forum Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 6:30 p.m., at the Tuscora Park Pavilion. This forum will feature the candidates of the New Philadelphia contested races of law director, president of New Philadelphia city council, mayor of New Philadelphia and municipal court judge. This forum will allow candidates the opportunity to express their position to their constituents while at the same time allowing constituents to address their questions to the candidates.

The forum will be moderated by Bob Scanlon, with all questions from the audience submitted in writing and screened by the Tuscarawas County Democratic and Republican Party chairs.

The moderator for the evening will present the questions to the candidates; their response time will be monitored and is limited to one minute per question.

Additionally, each candidate will be given two minutes to address the constituents with their opening and closing statements.

The New Philadelphia Business and Community Association and the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce looks forward to providing this evening for the New Philadelphia citizens and empower them with the information needed to vote Nov. 8.
