What is the primary reason you are running for this office, and why should someone vote for you?
“The primary reason is to better the community in which I grew up in. You run for office to better the community, to listen to people and what they think we need. I’ve tried to get some grants for the city, like the west side park grant so it could get new playground equipment. I’m a local boy who’s very outgoing and involved with all of our departments.”
What are the biggest problems facing your community, and how do you propose solving them?
“The biggest problem facing Uhrichsville and other communities like it is the economy, just the lack of money. The way to change that is to try to bring in some more business and industry. We have some issues, like streets, but without the money to do anything, there’s nothing we can do.”
Limited only to the office you are seeking, where specifically would you cut budgets if needed?
“You don’t cut money by just pen and paper. The only place you can truly cut is with manpower, but at this point we are operating with just a basic amount of manpower we can operate the city with. We haven’t hired any service workers, additional police or fire employees.”
How can local cities and towns work together to improve the entire area, rather than just do what’s best for them?
“One way to do that is to share services, which we do. Another is to work with other communities to attract business and industry to the area.”

What is the primary reason you are running for this office, and why should someone vote for you?
“The main reason I’m running are the Gorley Street Bottoms. [And people should vote for me because] I have a lot of experience dealing with people, I was a supervisor, a union president and I’ve been dealing with people my whole life.”
What are the biggest problems facing your community, and how do you propose solving them?
“I feel that the biggest problem is that when they dug the old Uhrichsville swimming pool down at the Gorley Street Bottoms, it was covered in lead paint, and more than likely the paint has made its way into Stillwater Creek since it’s close to it and it has flooded three times already. I think that needs to be taken care of.”
Limited only to the office you are seeking, where specifically would you cut budgets if needed?
“I would have to look at that, I don’t know right now.”
Why are you running for public office, and how can you make a difference in the community?
“I think I would listen to the people and police department, more so than what they’re being listened to now. I think it will help everybody out if you listen to them and talk to everybody.”
How can local cities and towns work together to improve the entire area, rather than just do what’s best for them?
“That’s another reason I’m running, just because of how things are going down here, right now.”
