Thurston appointed sales manager
Michael L. Thurston has been appointed sales manager of Beattys Builders. The appointment became effective August 1.
Thurston has a well established history in sales, marketing and management and brings more than 20 years of experience to the post-frame building manufacturer. He began his career in 1989 as an assistant manager with the Bob Evans Restaurant franchise and later accepted a position as kitchen manager for Texas Roadhouse in New Philadelphia. In 1999 he left the restaurant business to focus on a career in sales with Abbott Foods Incorporated, Columbus, where he was responsible for the Stark and Portage County territory.
Thurston is a 1983 graduate of Carrollton High School and a 2011 graduate of Kent State University. He has been a resident of Dover since 1989 and is active in the community, volunteering as a coach with Dover Youth Football and volunteering for various events at the Tuscarawas County YMCA. He attends New Pointe Community Church. He is the son of Mike and Dianne Thurston of Wood Road, Carrollton, and is the proud father of Clay (20), Lyndi (19), Lexi (18), Ireland (15) and Hanson (13).
