Martha Smith, district president, was featured at the Oct. 12 meeting of the Dover VFW Ladies Auxiliary. The meeting was opened by Margaret Stocker, president, after the inspection was completed by the district president. The opening prayer was read by Jane Conkle. The secretary’s report was read and approved. The treasurer’s report was read by Nancy Whitehair and approved.

Cancer pins are on sale for $2 from any of the officers.

Yearly donations will be given to the VFW cancer fund, health and happiness, and the hospital fund.

The Dover VFW Ladies Auxiliary will hold a bake sale Nov. 6 at Memorial Hall during the Veterans Day soup dinner. All donations of baked goods should be dropped off at the hall before 1 p.m. Nov. 6.

Planning ahead, the Christmas dinner will be held Dec. 14 at the Pros Table at 6 p.m. All members of the VFW Auxiliary are invited.
