The celebration is open to the public and the chapter encourages all members of the community to stop by to learn more about the Red Cross and meet Red Cross volunteers and staff members.
There will also be the opportunity to make or sign a greeting card for a member of the military or a veteran as part of the American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes program.
“It’s a great way to say thank you to the men and women who serve our country and let them know we remember and value their sacrifice,” said Chad Conrad, director of the Muskingum Lakes Chapter.
“We are glad to have the support of those in our local neighborhoods. Usually people think of the Red Cross in times of crisis, but with this event we feel we can bring some holiday spirit to the community and celebrate the mission of helping the community prevent, prepare and respond to an emergency situation,” said Conrad.
To attend the holiday open house, contact the chapter at 330-343-8633 or at info@mlcredcross.org, or just stop by.
