Coffee News recognized by Entrepreneur magazine

Coffee News, represented locally in East Central Ohio by owner/publisher Jac Clay, of New Philadelphia, has received national recognition from Entrepreneur magazine for being rated #17 of the top 100 low cost franchises. Each year, Entrepreneur conducts an extensive survey of the thousands of franchise operations in the U.S. and Canada. The rankings they publish help those hoping to become a business owner identify the best opportunities and where to get the “best bang for start-up bucks.”

In business in the U.S. since only 1995 or in business in Canada since 1988, Coffee News has consistently been rated in the top 20 by Entrepreneur magazine. “Coffee News owes all its success to the results our local advertisers experience. We offer very local coverage, which is affordable to even the smallest businesses. That’s why we are all very excited about this announcement,” said Clay, “because it shows we are a consistent performer delivering measurable results for our clients. We have entered a new era with Coffee News!”

Coffee News, the world’s largest restaurant publication, is the tan-colored paper that gives restaurant-goers fun news to enjoy while they’re waiting or eating. It serves up weekly doses of interesting stories, trivia, quotes, a contest, and announcements of community events.

Why is it so popular? “The explosive growth in the number of Coffee News publishers worldwide can be attributed in part to the desire to be entertained, and also learn about local business offerings,” said Bill Buckley, president of Coffee News USA. “As a respite from the daily overload of serious and sad news, readers increasingly turn to Coffee News for a quick dose of smiles and opportunities.
