Marcella Martell, registered dietitian and manager of Aultman’s weight management program, will explain the weight loss options available through the program during the meeting.
“We offer different programs for different weight loss needs, whether an individual needs to lose 10 pounds or 100,” said Martell. “The objective of the New Year, New You meeting is to share the variety of options that are available and to help individuals determine which program will be the right fit for them.”
Aultman Hospital has offered the weight management program for 20 years and partnered with Union Hospital in 2011 to make the program available locally.
According to Pam Dummermuth, UH community health and wellness coordinator, those who enroll in Aultman’s weight management program enjoy a high success rate in reaching and maintaining their weight loss goals. “The key to the program’s success is that it is designed to custom fit each participant, not only by offering different program options, but also through assessment by medically-trained professionals of individuals’ overall health and weight loss goals in order to provide a safe and effective path to achieving a healthy weight,” she said.
The informative meeting is free, but reservations are required and can be made through the hospital’s website at http://www.unionhospital.org, under health events, or by calling 330-602-0778.
