As chairman of your local Red Cross, I’m extraordinarily grateful to be associated with an organization that makes a difference in our community every day. The residents of our community who support the Red Cross through volunteer time, money or blood, shares in the special kinship of neighbors helping neighbors, whether they are around the block or across the globe. It is only through your incredible spirit of generosity that the Muskingum Lakes Chapter stands ready, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Volunteers are the heart of the story. Our local Red Cross is made up of friends and neighbors, responding to disasters including house and apartment fires, teaching first aid and CPR classes, educating youth how to be safe, or helping members of the military stay connected.
The Red Cross offers all of these services thanks to the generous support of people like you. While fires and floods capture the headlines, it is more important than ever before to support our local Red Cross, so that no one in our community must ever face a disaster alone now and in 2012. Learn how to help by contacting the chapter at 330-343-8633 or visiting www.mlcredcross.org.
