Alta R. Miller, 64, a resident of the Wayne County Care Center, formerly of Mt. Eaton, died Dec. 29, 2011, following an extended illness.

Alta was born August 17, 1947, near Sugarcreek, to the late Roman and Verna Miller, and lived most of her life in Mt. Eaton. She was a member of Longenecker Mennonite Church and had provided janitorial services for numerous businesses.

Surviving are brothers, Earl (Mary) Miller of Mt. Eaton, Roy (Sarah) Miller of Orrville, and Dan (Diane) Miller and Lloyd (Jean) Miller, both of Massillon; sister, Miriam Miller of Wooster; brother-in-law, John H. (Irma) Miller of Winesburg; 11 nephews and seven nieces; and numerous great-nephews and -nieces.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Amos Miller; sister, Viola Miller; and a nephew, Gary Miller.

Services will be held Dec. 31, at 11 a.m., at Longenecker Mennonite Church, with Pastor Dean Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services.
