The Mud Run Stream Keepers are a partnership dedicated to improving the quality of the watershed, rebuilding the ecosystem, and bettering the community. Mud Run is a 10-square-mile watershed that is located in Tuscarawas County and is impacted by the unregulated coal mining of the past. Mud Run Stream Keepers is a group dedicated to improving the health of the stream.

The last Mud Run meeting drew even more exciting possibilities for the Mud Run Stream Keepers. At the last meeting the focus was on the logo, fundraisers and membership.

The logo, designed by Marc Roy, will be picked at the next meeting, Feb. 1. The Stream Keepers may also be choosing how to set up the group, including talks about officers and creating bylaws.

The next meeting is very important. It will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 6 p.m., in the Warwick Township building/fire station (Warwick Township Volunteer Fire Department, 397 East Avenue Extension SE, Tuscarawas 44682). All are welcome and encouraged to attend and bring ideas.
