2011 proves steady for Dover-Phila Federal Credit Union

Dover-Phila Federal Credit Union has proved once again they can hold their own in the competitive banking environment. For the 17th year in a row, credit union members received a year-end bonus dividend as well as an interest rebate totaling nearly $1.6 million. A 50 percent bonus dividend was awarded as well as an eight percent interest rebate. As of Dec. 31, 2011, assets totaled just over $3.2 million.

In 2011 Dover-Phila’s bill pay service expanded by offering Account-to-Account transfers (A2A) and Same-Day Bill Pay. A2A allows members to initiate inter-bank and intra-bank transfers. Same-Day bill pay allows members to select same-day processing for payments to qualifying merchants.

Always supportive in the community, Dover-Phila continued their corporate sponsorships of Union Hospital’s Run for Home half-marathon events benefiting Habitat for Humanity of Tuscarawas County and United Way of Tuscarawas County Rock n’ Run. Adding to their sponsorships was the first Mark’s Place Healthy is Beautiful 10k race/walk events benefiting Mover’s and Shaker’s Against Parkinson’s. Employees pay-to-dress down once per month proceeds benefit various local charities such as Tuscarawas Clinic for the Working Uninsured and American Cancer Society, to name a few.

In December 2011, expansion began at the main office on Fillmore Ave. in Dover. 2012 will see a new addition to this building when a new-and-improved drive-thru will open. The ATM will be moved inside and accommodate users from the first lane of the new drive-thru. One more sign that Dover-Phila is still growing. Also in 2012, exciting new options in mortgage financing become available.

Membership holds steady at just over 35,000. Members are the reason for Dover-Phila’s success. Member service and security are of the utmost importance to the credit union and a top priority. Dover-Phila is excited to welcome 2012 and will continue to serve and meet the needs of the community.
