The Tuscarawas County Democrat Women are offering two scholarships for Tuscarawas County residents.

The first scholarship is the Tuscarawas County Democratic Women Scholarship for $500. This scholarship will be presented to a high school senior who plans to attend an accredited post-secondary school. The recipient will be selected based upon involvement in the Democratic Party, financial need, scholastic achievement, school activities, community activities, written recommendations and an essay.

The second scholarship is the Lisa Zimmerman Memorial Scholarship for $500, which will be awarded to a registered Democrat who attends an accredited post-secondary school. The recipient will be selected based upon their involvement in the Democratic Party, references and a written essay.

Application deadline is March 1.
