Kent State University at Tuscarawas announced the signing of Rikki Neading, a Dover High School graduating senior, to its cross country team. On Feb. 23 Neading signed a letter of intent to run for the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles cross country team and track and field team.

Neading was a four-year letter winner for the Tornadoes and was an integral part of two state-qualifying cross country teams in her career at Dover High School. She also was named All-County, All-East District and ECOL Second Team Captain and earned a scholar-athlete award.

“We are excited to have Rikki sign to be a Golden Eagle,” said Mark Albaugh, head cross country and track and field coach for Kent State Tuscarawas. “She has had a solid career at Dover, but we know her best is yet to come, and she will be a pleasure to work with and have on our team. She is definitely committed to being the best early childhood teacher and athlete she can be and will represent herself and our campus well.”

Kent State Tuscarawas is a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.
