The Dennison Railroad Depot Museum will host its second annual Bourbon & Bling Gala at the Z Barn in the Valley, 5630 Sub Station Road in New Philadelphia, on Saturday, April 29 from 6 p.m. to midnight.

The Kentucky Derby-themed dining and dancing event supports the museum. Guests are encouraged to dress in derby-inspired attire.

The gala will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m., followed by a special southern-style buffet dinner that will be catered by Chef Matthew Ridgeway of Hennis Care Centre.

Brad and Blair Hillyer will host the live auction following dinner. Some of the items available for bidding include an Amish-craftsmen whiskey barrel bar, a vacation getaway for six at a private waterfront cabin in the mountains of the Berkshires in Massachusetts, a private gourmet dinner for eight with Canal Tavern of Zoar executive chef Cameron Krahel and more.

Gemini will provide live music at 8:30 p.m. along with disc jockey services throughout the evening by Hitchcock Sound Company.

Join Brad Bielski and Scott Robinson at 8:30 p.m. for bourbon tasting in the lower level bourbon bar. A sampling flight of four bourbon varieties will be served. A ticket is required to participate, and cost is $10 in advance and $15 at the gala.

The Breitenbach wine pull, sponsored by Breitenbach Wine Cellars, allows guests to choose a wine bag that includes one bottle of wine with a value of $20-$50. Wine pull tickets are $20 per pull and can be purchased in advance or the night of the event.

Purchase a presentation red rose for $20 in order to enter the Rodriguez’s House of Stones Grand Prize Package: Diamonds & Derby Louisville, Kentucky Getaway for Two. This prize includes a two-night stay at Clarion Hotel Conference Center Louisville North with breakfast passes, tickets to three local museums, passes to Atlantis Water Park, a sightseeing cruise for two on the Spirit of Jefferson Belle of Louisville, a bottle of Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, and a House of Stones pendant and earrings set, 18-karat white and rose gold in vintage square-shaped scroll design.

“We are excited to celebrate the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum this April. The planning committee, the Dennison Railroad Depot Museum Emerging Professionals, have worked to make every detail beautiful and enjoyable for our guests,” event chair Kerri Silverthorn said. “I am happy to be a part of this planning committee, and I’m excited to see how all our hard work will benefit the museum and community.”

Tickets are $90 per couple or $45 a person, and for those that want to have the best seats in the house, couples are $150 or $75 a person. Premier tables will be sold for businesses or individuals for up to four couples for $550.

All proceeds from this event go toward upcoming exhibits, educational programs and continuation of phase VIII, which is restoring the Chesapeake & Ohio Steam Engine 2700 and completing the Pullman Bed and Breakfast.
