Race includes running, paddling and mountain biking

A rugged adventure awaits in this action-packed race that includes running, paddling and mountain biking as participants navigate their way around Camp Tuscazoar, the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Tuscarawas River.

Camp Tuscazoar will host its first Tuscazoar Adventure Race on Saturday, Aug. 19. The race will include running, paddling and mountain biking as participants navigate their way around Camp Tuscazoar, the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Tuscarawas River.
 
The race will begin at 9 a.m. at the camp. Participants will run about 6 miles for the first leg, paddle 4 miles on the Tuscarawas River for the second leg and mountain bike 7 miles to complete the race.
 
Participants can register at registration.verticalrunnerrm.com/events/tuscazoar-adventure-race-01132017129. For questions regarding the race or to volunteer, email info@tuscazoar.org. The race will be limited to the first 100 registrants.
 
In conjunction with the race event, the Kent State University Lions Club will offer a spaghetti dinner on Friday, Aug. 18 from 5-8 p.m. in Kimble Hall at Camp Tuscazoar. The dinner is $6 per person and is open to the public
 
Beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 18 in Camp Tuscazoar’s Hoover Lodge amphitheater, the Kodachrome Babies will perform covers and original tunes that feature their guitar/ukulele combo.
