Dog show raises funds for K-9 officers

Michelle Osugi from Paris won the Largest Dog category with her Mastiff, Tonka, at the Breitenbach Dog Show.

The Breitenbach Dog Show was held on Saturday, Sept. 9. All proceeds went to the Police K-9 Association of Canton. The Canton K-9 unit was on hand doing demonstrations with one of the canine officers for the crowd.
 
Winning in the Owner/Dog Look Alike category was Holly and Kayne Toukonen from Uniontown with their poodles Fergie and Cola. Prettiest Female went to Lucy, an Alaskan Malamute. Her owner is Carla Shreve of Bolivar. Natalie Jones of Newcomerstown won Smallest Dog with her Chihuahua, Sinderella. Michelle Osugi from Paris won the Largest Dog category with her Mastiff, Tonka.
 
Charlie, a 4-month-old Golden Retriever, won Most Handsome Male. His owner is Alicia Robertson from New Philadelphia. Megan Brannon from Stonecreek won Best Costume and Best Trick with her dog Cali, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
 
Prizes were donated by Breitenbach Wine Cellars, Valley View Animal Hospital, Towne and Country Vet Clinic, Oakshadows Kennel and Grooming, Doggie Do's Grooming, Sugarcreek Vet Clinic, and Petz Place.
