Soiree to benefit local artists

Dr. David Hartman will host Tuscarawas Arts Partnership's Arty Party 2017: The Art Experience.

The Tuscarawas Arts Partnership invites the community to attend Arty Party 2017: The Art Experience on Thursday, Oct. 19 from 6-9 p.m. Central to the event is the silent auction, featuring pieces from local artists who will mingle with guests throughout the evening.
The auction will include works by Susan Cramer Stein, John Drubel, Sara Dugger, Jon Stucky, Vicki Mitchell and many others. Live music will be provided by Ren, Kodachrome Babies and Bob Ventre.
“Arty Party 2017 will be a large, lavish and fun celebration of our extraordinary community of extremely talented artists,” TAP board member Dr. David Hartman said. “Arty Party is the autumn event you absolutely don’t want to miss.”
TAP’s annual Arty Party event gathers the community together to benefit Tuscarawas County arts and culture. The goals of the evening are to provide a unique way to enjoy art, giving artists the opportunity to meet new collectors and connecting art creators with those who appreciate the arts.
“Art is important to each of us in our daily lives. Without it there would be no songs to sing, no designs to wear, no performances to attend,” said Diane Lautenschelger, TAP board president. “We’re trying to create and maintain environments that awaken, empower and inspire us through the arts. Having an organization focused specifically on the arts in Tuscarawas County will maximize available grants and funding and coordinate cross-promotion among artists, businesses and schools.
To attend Arty Party 2017, send your RSVP via email to tuscarawasartspartnership@gmail.com. Tickets are $50 per person and include all hors d’oeuvres, desserts, champagne, wine and beer, provided by Pointe Dining.
The event will be held at the Fine Arts Skin and Laser office at 335 Oxford St. in Dover.
