McGinnis to return to Dover

Young adult author and Edgar Award winner Mindy McGinnis will come to Dover Public Library for a special author program.

On Saturday, Feb. 17 at 10 a.m., Dover Public Library will welcome back young adult author and Edgar Award winner Mindy McGinnis for a special author program. Light refreshments will be served at the event, which is free and open to both teens and adults. A book-signing will follow the presentation. Interested patrons can register by calling the library at 330-343-6123.
McGinnis is the Edgar Award-winning author of "Not a Drop to Drink," "In a Handful of Dust," "A Madness so Discreet," "The Female of the Species," "Given to the Sea" and "This Darkness Mine." She graduated from Otterbein University with a degree in English literature and religion.
During her first visit to Dover in March 2014, McGinnis spoke to students at Dover High School about literature and writing. Now she returns for a special Teen Saturday program to discuss more about her writing life and to share her new books with library patrons.
“I’m very excited to have Mindy back in Dover,” teen librarian Liz Strauss said. “She is a very talented writer and is sure to deliver an engaging program.”
This program is sponsored by the 21st Century Afterschool Learning Program and Dover High School.
